What are the legal housing requirements for imported workers?
Employers must provide suitable housing as the law requires. From 2026-06-16, up to 20% of monthly wages may be deducted for housing cost, but never more than the actual cost, and always under the Standard Employment Contract and the Employment Ordinance.
How much does worker dormitory cost per month?
Workers' dormitories run HK$2,600 – HK$3,500/month (utilities excluded), with single rooms furnished with bed, wardrobe and air-conditioning, and shared laundry, fridge and cooking facilities; Mainland-port dormitories are quoted separately by location and headcount.
